Time saving cooking tips
As much as I love cooking, I do not necessarily want to spend all evening in the kitchen. I am constantly looking for way to save my cooking time. Here are the 10 tips I use to reduce my cooking time
- Pre-chop your veggies ahead of time. I use onions and at least one type of bell pepper in almost all of my recipes. There is always something to chop. I have found that chopping a week’s worth of veggies on the weekend makes my cooking experience much faster. And yes, they do stay fresh for a week. I used zip locks and tubber ware containers in the past but over a year ago, I bought some cute veggie storage containers from Amazon. They seal and keep my veggies fresh, moist and prevent their smell from taking over the fridge. They also make it easier for me to know that i have some left over onion that I have not used before reaching out for a new one

For me, the more the dishes in the sink, the less motivated I am to clean it up immediately. On the flip side, cleaning immediately I use an utensil or dish while my food is still cooking motivates me to clean up the whole kitchen even before I sit down to have dinner. It is also much easier to clean a dish before the grease or soil dries up on it.
3) Thaw and season meat a night or two before:
